SUMMARY:Blessing of the Pets
DESCRIPTION:The Blessing of the Pets service is held outside the Hillcrest United Presbyterian Church in a tent.  Worshipers are encouraged to bring their pets with them to worship\, on a leash\, as well as lawn chairs.  During the service each pet will be blessed by the minister\, with a message that elevates God’s gift of animals as a blessing for us to give thanks.  The service begins at 10 a.m.  The public is encouraged to bring their pets on a leash or in a container who are socialized to accept others.

Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite dessert to share with others (plastic-ware and drinks provided). A casual service starting at 10:15am including music as well as a variety of picnic games of horseshoes and volleyball are planned for the event.
