Blessing of the Pets

The Blessing of the Pets service on July 9 is held before the Hillcrest United Presbyterian Church in a party tent on the front lawn.  Worshipers are encouraged to bring their pets with them to worship, on a leash, as well as lawn chairs.  During the service each pet will be blessed by the minister, with a message that elevates God’s gift of animals as a blessing for us to give thanks.  Dr.. Lolla will be preaching on “Bless the Beasts and the Children,” from Isaiah 11:6.  The service begins at 10 a.m.  The public is encouraged to bring their pets who are socialized to accept others.
